News from French Broad Global Investors

A Note to Clients and Interested Parties:

Even though our expertise at French Broad Global Investors is investing on a global basis, we have been very overweight in our U.S. holdings the last few years. Emerging markets had outperformed until 2011 and therefore from a valuation perspective we took profits. When we factored in the overvaluation of many currencies to the United States dollar, of note the United Kingdom pound, Euro, and the Brazilian Real, securities in those markets didn't appear as attractive. Japanese companies systemically have subpar growth prospects which has made it a difficult market to invest.

Now that U.S. stocks have significantly outperformed since 2010, we are beginning to see better value in equities outside the United States. Additionally, the above mentioned currencies have contracted to the U.S. dollar.

At French Broad Global Investors we continue to exam opportunities overseas.
